Hey fellas! I'm a transplanted Virginia boy living in Washington St for the past 28 years, and for the record it only rains here about every other day. So a little about my woodworking. I grew up the son of a cabinetmaker/furniture builder, so I've been snorting sawdust since I was knee high to a UniSaw. I currently operate out of a converted two car garage, and yes space is a premium but I'm adapt at keeping a clean, well organized shop. Most of my machines are mobile, with the exception of my 17" band saw and drill press. I use a mixture of machinery, Jet (jointer, mortising machine 16-32 drum sander)
Grizzly ( 17" GO513x2 band saw, GO690 tablesaw and 15" GO453Z helical planer) I make whatever strikes my fancy, it could be cutting boards, craftsman style furniture, boxes. I'm really enjoying learning the craft and have been at it for awhile now. Still have lots to learn! I like trading ideas and conversing with like minded folks. I'm dabbling in digital photography, and I enjoy tending my gardens. I'm a boat builder by trade, been married over 25 years and have a wonderful 17 year old son who's as much as a smartass as I was at that age. If there's one thing he's learned, stay just out of arms reach! Really I'm kidding, he's a great kid, very smart, going to college full time to get his AA degree as well as his HS diploma, this coming year he'll be a senior, then off to pursue his major in Computer Science. I like to have fun, enjoy my life and the people around me.
If you wanna ask a question of me go ahead, as I'm sure there'll be a lot of questions coming from me. Glad to be here.
