Spent the whole afternoon trying to get my power washer to run. It's been over a year since I've used it. When I stored it, I added Stabil to the gas, and ran the tank dry until the engine shut off.
What pizzes me off, is that I didn't use it for more than a couple of hours since new. I changed out the oil by tipping the damn thing over. There wasn't a drain for the crankcase that I could find. WTF. I read the O/M, and checked online, and nothing was said about draining the oil or where there was a drain if it had one. Just info on filling the oil.
So, I would choke and crank, and the thing would fire for 2 seconds, and stop. It was also leaking gas from the carb. So, I figured the needle and seat was jammed, and the bowl was overfilling. But, with the short run, it's almost like not enough gas.
So, I spent mucho time taking apart the carb. I got the leak stopped, but it still won't fire up . But it does kick for a couple of seconds. I got disenchanted with fixing it. I guess that's what happens when you're an old fart. Called Home Depot to see if they do any repairs on their own equipment. They are telling me 7-21 days depending if it has to go back to the factory.
Buncha krap if you ask me. I think I'll look around for a good local lawnmower shop. Wife is chomping at the bit to wash the patio and our perimeter fence.

Might be clogged fuel line... carb. problem... do you have the little bubble that needs to be pushed? Can you see the gas at that point?
Spark plug good, clean, & dry?
I hate krap like that when that happens...
I have never used a pressure washer... Same thing has happened to me with Gasoline string trimmer... (I borrow a neighbor's now & provide the gas (straight gas, no mixing crap). I got a small ELECTRIC chain saw for tree trimming... just to stay away from that damn gas/oil crap...
Good luck...

Washer update. I called Husky corporate office and asked where locally they could recommend a repair shop. I took it in, and waited a few weeks. The problem was in the carb. So they ordered a kit to include jets.
I got it back and it starts on the second pull. It's kinda tricky because you have to have the wand in one hand with the trigger pulled letting water shoot out, while having one foot on the washer frame while pull starting with the other hand.
