And it all happened in an hour plus hail and I was worried that my skylights were going to break. I have two drains from my back yard to the street in front and they haven’t been used for so long that they both clogged up. My yard and patio were covered in 2” of water and I was in a panic to get everything up high. Luckily the rain stopped before it come in to the house and a miracle that yesterday I decided to bring all my Red Oak into the shop from the patio. I usually build everything on the patio in the summer because I have more room. The funny thing was that my day started at 6:30 AM up in the mountains next to the ski resorts were I was removing electrical conduit from a building that was being rewired. It started to rain almost immediately as soon as I started working and I was drenched within minutes. Then the lightning started in and I was outside waving around a stick of conduit like a lightning rod. A couple of loud booms and some flashing behind me sent the conduit a flying and me a running for the door. I stayed in the building until it stopped after about an hour and the rest of the day was beautiful until I got home.

Crazy... Not a drop here... just over the hill...
A tree about 25' from my daughters house in San Bernardino, CA got hit by lighting & burned a little until house water hose put it out along with help of fire dept. That was SCARY!
BUT... Nothing here at all!
