I've been trying to use my bench vise as a pen press, but it just doesn't cut it. So, I invested in a pen press. I'll post some pics of it as soon as I get a chance.

I would think you'd have to line it up perfectly square to the vise jaws in order for it to work good. That is probably very hard to do.. ( ) Looking fwd to seeing what they look like...

Hey Joe: Here's my new pen press. All I have to do is set it up & I'll be making pens like a madman.

Very good, Herb! That looks like it should do an accurate job of pressing the parts together! Hope it will improve your Production vs Scarp ratio! I was thinking, are you keeping your tools good & sharp? That may be a reason for possible failure... ( ) Thanks for showing your new Pen Press.

Yeah, I keep my tools sharp. That's the first thing I learned when I started woodworking last year. I already had a nice 8" grinder. I bought the Wolverine sharpening system.

When are we going to see something out of your NEW pen press? Is it making life easier for you? Increased your success rate?
