This all came about after making a mounting bracket out of a chunk of glued-up plywood I had in the scrap bucket.
My friend only needed one bracket, but after making it, there was another piece left over that could be used for another bracket if desired, so I gave it to him along with the main bracket.
He liked it so much, he said he was going to Finish it and place it on a bookshelf in his living room showcase.
I volunteered to Finish it for him... he said Yes.
As I was getting ready to Finish it, I got to thinking about how Bookends would look using this technique... I decided to make two sets of bookends and Finish ALL pieces at the same time.
This thread shows the bookends & basically how I made them as well as the Inspiration piece.
I thought they came out quite nicely.
