I thought so... if you don't like it, don't click it... Couldn't be any easier than that! I suggested it this way on WOW... A moderator abruptly said, in his wonderful bedside manner, "Not in the Cards... is NOT an Option... will never happen!" Oh well... ;D

I've read and re-read every post on this thread, and I haven't a clue what this is about. Is this an American thing? (I'm a Limey). Bruce

Bruce Bruce, Dale & I were talking about another website that you are probably not aware of... as a result, it would be hard for you to understand it... sorry about that...

I've read and re-read every post on this thread, and I haven't a clue what this is about. Is this an American thing? (I'm a Limey). Bruce Bruce, It's pretty easy to understand with a little explanation. It starts out with a forum, we'll call forum A. The members on that forum found all kinds of reasons to create dissent, such as not liking the ownership of the forum saying that they were only interested in promoting their products. Furthermore they complained about the moderators not taking part in the forum. I have no idea why it matters if they do or don't. In fact they would complain if they did. When there would be a political thread, which was a no-no, the thread would get very inflamatory. So, one member decided to start his own forum with the premise that the forum would be a "members forum" and allow political and religious threads. Then members joined that forum, which we'll call forum B. So, what happens next is that the political threads got inflamatory, and the owner decided that the "members forum" would no longer allow political threads. Interestingly, here is a post from forum A (very recent) in reply to why it was so slow there: The people that didn't agree with the forum owner rules have cut and run to forum B which has itself slowed down because the same people don't like the fact that political and religious threads are not allowed anymore (thankfully) because the same people can not be courteous to those with different opinions.
There are still a lot of folk here. Here we are now in forum C, which is set up for accepting political and religious threads. We'll have to see how it goes.

I think there is a little more involved than what you are describing. The other two sites are a bit stuffy. Hopefully that won't happen here. As for your description, I guess I missed out on it all. I had no idea what was happening at the level you are talking about. I guess I got caught in the mess unaware, but nonetheless, i am glad I no longer frequent either. On a more sad note, there were some people I really liked on both of those sites. Oh well. BTW, if you don't want to read it, don't click on it!
