Who knows you might even think of other applications.
In the video I'm just using it to true up the base of a bowl blank to add more segments. It could be done with a chisel but like this it 'should' rule out all error if set up right.
Other applications would include fluting in bowls, spindles and even pens

That's a cool jig, although you didn't give us a real good look. Off the top of my head I was just thinking, with the speed of the bit, maybe your lathe rotation should be slower. Maybe not...what the heck do I know. All I make are spindles, balusters, newels, and legs. I haven't made any bowls or pens, or have done any segmented turning, so I'm just speaking from very limited turning experience.

I can see making Rosettes with it... flutes, as mentioned...
