I had some 1/8" Curly Maple & Zebra Wood scraps that just begged to be used for this project. I think the pictures are self explanatory... ... if you have questions, ask & I will answer them.

I missed this one. What a cool idea. I like the boxes, and the false bottom is just a real plus. Nobody would ever know there is a stash place. But, what if the burglar needed a pencil box and decides to swipe yours along with all your jewelry and silverware.
Seriously though, it's a good gift idea.

Yep, Cabinetman - Mike, I guess I'd just be Screwed Out of $2.00 and pens, etc. ... the cost of the pens would be more than the stash & cost of making it! ;D I saw it on Woodworkers for Mere Mortals on LumberJocks... Looked like a simple project... I just happened to have some scraps I've been waiting for a good purpose. Didn't take very long... was fun doing it too... I got the Maple one... Wife wanted the Zebra! (I think she's still using it!)... I'm using mine all the time... Very handy. Glad you found it... and like it... Good to see you back & still kicking! ;D
