This is NOT Cable or Dish TV... This is TV the old fashioned way... from an Antenna an leadin cable to tv set.
First of all:
The TV must be a New Digital type... and it must have a Tuner (NOT for Just Cable)... there must be an Antenna input port in addition to a Cable input.
Parts needed:
A good antenna... this is the type I have been using and I get super results from Alta Loma, CA to Mt. Wilson (above LA area).
RCA ANT751 Durable Compact Outdoor Antenna
I mounted mine on our fireplace Chimney! (caution keep away from the direct heat output of top)
A length of Cable to hook to the antenna and go through a window or outside wall to your TV.
Mediabridge Coaxial Digital Audio/Video Cable (50 Feet) - Triple Shielded F-Pin to F-Pin with Easy Grip Connector Caps - Black
You may need some very short lengths to also include Splitter & to other TV's, and to include a Pre-Amplifier to boost the signal, if you need a stronger signal.
Extreme 4 Way Balanced HD Digital 1GHz high performance coax cablecplitter - BDS104h
This is a very good Splitter... Antenna cable goes into the Input connector and Individual TV Cables (up to 4) go to the Output connectors.
RCA TVPRAMP1R Preamplifier for Outdoor Antenna Performance Enhancement & Extension (use with ANT3038XR & ANT3036XR), Black
Typical System Connection Setup
Antenna mounted high & pointed to TV Source.
Cable from antenna to inside house. (be sure to have a "U" loop before entering house to stop water)
Preamplifier, if used, at end of cable... another small cable from here to the Splitter.
Splitter... from Cable antenna or preamp.
Cables from Splitter to individual TV's (up to 4 using this splitter).
TV set (digital) ... Antenna Input (NOT "Cable TV")
Turn on TV, go to Setup, Select ANTENNA (not Cable), Search for Channels, & Watch FREE TV!
You can fine tune, ignore channel you don't like, etc. and Select Favorites for everyday selecting.
Once you install all of the Parts (a one time Cost) it will NOT cost you another penny to watch TV!
Some of my Favorites in SOCAL area are:
2.1 CBS
4.1 NBC
4.2 "COZI-TV"
5.1 KTLA
5.2 KTLA - "Antenna"
5.3 KTLA - "This TV"
7.1 ABC-HD
24.1 KVCR-HD
24.4 KVCR "Create TV"
28.1 KCET-HD
28.4 KCET - NHK
56.3 "ME TV"
Remember, this is NOT Cable TV... NO ESPN, etc. cable channels!

The Old Fashioned WAY!
(like we used to it... pointing an outside antenna toward the mountains)
