These pieces were all done with a plywood substrate, with radiused fronts and edges, laminated in a gloss high pressure laminate (like Formica). . . . . . . .

Hi Capt.!
That's pretty COOL work!
You have a plywood form spaced across the faces... ... then Formica placed over them?
... or did you bend plywood over the forms & put formica on top of that?
Looks really COOL... How many years ago did you do that?
Hope your knee work is getting better... have you had ur replacemeent yet?
Good to see you again!

The curves are 1/4 round radius, that I buy in 8' lengths. They are available in different radiuses. Two can be glued/splined together for a half circle. These were for drawer fronts, and curves. hardwareimagination-tech.com/11/images/Moulding/Hardware_Imagination_Tech_2011_Catalog_Page-334.jpgThe mica is a "postforming" mica, which bends very easy. There are many patterns and colors. This method of laminating curves works good for wood veneer, using a backed veneer, and solvent based contact cement. My knee ain't so good. Gotta wait 'til after January, as our insurance is changing. Thanks for asking. .

Take care...

Take care... The surgery is laparoscopic, done as an outpatient. It's supposed to be not a big deal...like I should be able to walk the next day. Here is what is determined to be wrong: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tear_of_meniscusI'll keep ya posted. .
