I got my first plant about two+ years ago... I got it from this guy in Florida: www.michaels4gardens.com/Chaya.htmlHe said it was easy to propagate with cuttings... So, the first year, I took a couple of cuttings, and sure enough, THEY GREW! During the last growing season, I took 6 cuttings... They all grew! I will give a plant to anyone (member of the forum) that wants one... while they last. If Dale wants one, I will be delivering one to him next w/e! I would like you to pay the shipping though... Bruce, I have no idea if I could legally ship a plant to you... I will if I can, if you want one. Mike, they would grow great where you are! I see this guy's place is up For Sale... Sorry to see him sellout... a very nice guy. In addition what he explains that can be done, I dry the leaves and include them in a general tea that I make that consists of rosemary, basil(when we have it), and Chaya... added to a bunch of Green Tea bags... Tastes Good! Let me know if you're interested... FREE + shipping...

Somebody must have started plantings, but I've seen it grow wild here and in Southeast Asia. It'll grow in any warm humid climate. It's like a vegetable to eat.

What the heck, as long as it doesn't have paraquat on it, I'll grow some for salads.

Thanks for the offer, but as you know, Britian's still got the same temperature that it had 20,000 years ago, during the last Ice Age.... (Well, all right, maybe a couple of degrees warmer...) Bruce
