I wonder how many improvements he has made since he made this one?
... of course, it might be hard to improve on perfection... ;D ;D ;D

Here is an Update! (Finally got around to it!) Hi Joe, Thank you for your comments. Yes, I have made some improvements. In my video I show that I jammed two nuts together and use a speed wrench to make adjustments. I have since added a router plate to my table and did not want to drill a large hole in my plate to accommodate the large socket wrench. The solution I came up with was to drill a 1/4” hole vertically in the threaded rod and using epoxy, glued a 1/4” hex head bolt in the hole. Then I only needed a hole just big enough for an Allen wrench bit. (I made the bit by cutting off the “L” part of an Allen wrench so I had a 2” long bit and with electrical tape, secured it to a socket wrench.) I can use my drill or speed wrench to raise and lower rapidly. I also added a Spindle Lock that makes bit changes possible using a single wrench. David's Update LumberJocks Post

I really like the way this guy made his router table and shop-made LIFT!
Every time I watch those videos, I get the itch to at least make a table top with the dust control in it!

Back when I got started, dust control was for sissies. I can't remember any shops that used any systems. Then as we found out how bad it really was, things changed. I should have gone into selling dust systems instead of making dust. ;D

Until, I started sanding some walnut, thinking I was protected with a good face mask & P100 filters... it was still in the air after I stopped... removed mask too soon... I think I got messed up a TAD... Enough to GET MY ATTENTION! Yes Dust Control is very important... and those router tables really NEED good dust control... Like this guy has made... Very impressive!
