The thought hit me with my chairs...
I have some TransTint... I like the color (per my book-magazine cases).
How would BLO (Boiled Linseed Oil) work on Wt. Oak OVER the TransTint?
Dale, did you do this ++ on your WO desk?
Anyone?
Thanks in advance for your help.

What were you planning to use the Trans Tint in? Have you done anything in a finishing schedule to the bare wood yet?

No, I have not started true Finishing except for sanding...
My TransTint is currently mixed with water... so I would have to lightly sand after applying the TT.
This would be the time for TransTint if it could work, I think.

I took a piece of scrap, TransTinted it, let it dry really good, sanded it, applied some BLO, it is drying, and it looks really GOOD.
Any ideas on how long it would last outdoors before another BLO treatment would be required?

Why not add poly to it, or use uv poly or varnish.
